BAYERISCHE STAATSFORSTEN AöR, the largest forest enterprise in Germany, manages an extensive area of over 800,000 hectares in beautiful Bavaria.
Given the scale of their operations and the upcoming autumn drives as part of their animal population control efforts, they required the prompt delivery and installation of a cold storage container with a generator to support their activity in a remote, densely forested area.
The solution would allow them to cool down the game to a core temperature of 2-3°C.
The customer wanted the partner to manage the entire process and all on-site activities including delivery, unloading, startup, and cabling connections and to ensure efficient, flawless and reliable operation.
Solution
To meet the customer's requirements and address the unique challenges of the project, Trane offered a 20 feet C-Store cold storage container with a clip-on Genset.
That location justified the use of a clip-on genset, as it allowed for easier transportation and installation in an environment where traditional setups or battery and solar options might be difficult or impossible to use.
The main application for the stationary storages with genset is when grid power is not available and other ways of powering are not suitable. This solution ensured that the customer had a reliable power source despite the lack of grid power and the unsuitability of other power options in such a challenging environment. The genset SGCO3500 designed and produced by Thermo King can operate not only on diesel fuel but as well on more sustainable options as HVO (hydro-threated vegetable oil) or 20% biodisel. Usage of HVO reduces CO2 emissions by up yto 90% vs fossil sourced diesel.
Our team efficiently managed the test run installation, completing it in just one hour using the 20 feet container and a clip-on generator Trane took care of all on-site activities, ensuring a seamless process from delivery to startup.
