Brussels, Belgium, March 30, 2026 - Trane®, a leading global provider of thermal management solutions and services and a brand of Trane Technologies, is expanding its industrial cooling portfolio with L‑STORE, a compact plug-and-play cold storage container. First introduced within Trane Rental Services, L-STORE is now available for direct purchase through Trane’s broad sales network.

Purpose-built for businesses needing reliable, small-scale temperature-controlled storage,
the L-STORE avoids the complexity and cost associated with conventional cold room construction. Its plug-and-play design requires only a standard electrical connection, allowing rapid deployment and commissioning. With its compact, self-contained layout, the L-STORE typically does not require building permits, making it an especially attractive choice for operations needing quick and affordable capacity extension.

Every L-STORE is powered by the Thermo King® VX-Series refrigeration unit, delivering reliable cooling performance down to –25°C set point in ambient conditions from –20°C to +45°C. The cold storage containers are manufactured in Europe with high quality insulated panels to ensure consistent performance and long service life. An optional telematics package enables remote monitoring and management from any location via web interface or mobile app.

The L-STORE is available in two sizes:
• 2m x 2m x 2m with single-phase connection, 230V/1ph/50-60Hz 16A, ideal for small sites with limited footprint.
• 4m x 2m x 2m (new larger size) with three-phase connection, 400V/3ph/50-60Hz 16A, suitable for higher-capacity needs or multi-unit installations.

Both L-STORE models feature a single door with high quality thermal insulation, a silicone curtain, non slip floor, internal lighting, door opening sensor and an internal safety handle.

L-STORE strengthens Trane’s thermal systems portfolio, which spans operating setpoints from –30°C to +120°C, and enhances one of the most versatile temperature-controlled storage offerings for permanent or temporary use. It offers customers a fast, easy and cost-effective way to add storage capacity without the delays or expense associated with building work. Applications include food and beverage production — such as dairies, wineries, seafood processors, bakeries and butcher shops — along with festivals, seasonal markets, outdoor catering, and industries like pharmaceuticals, chemicals, hospitality and retail.

To support customers who need both chilled water production and portable cold storage,
the L-STORE works seamlessly alongside Trane’s freezing and deep cooling equipment, including the RTAF G Process chiller, which delivers chilled glycol down to –12°C. The combination enables customers to benefit from a fully integrated temperature control solution from a single manufacturer.
