Trane Strengthens Presence in Finland and Denmark to Help Shape the Next Generation of Data Centres

Expanded operations in Finland and Denmark reinforce Trane’s local presence in the Nordics and support more sustainable, efficient and community-connected digital infrastructure.

Brussels, Belgium, July 9, 2026 - Trane®, a leading global provider of thermal management solutions and services and a brand of Trane Technologies, is strengthening its presence in Scandinavia by expanding its existing operations in Finland and Denmark.

The move builds on Trane’s strong momentum and established leadership in the data centre space across Europe, and indeed, globally, while strengthening its ability to support customers with deeper regional expertise and closer local engagement. It also supports Trane’s broader vision for the next generation of data centres: infrastructure designed not only to power digital life and industry, but also to exchange energy with nearby buildings, using waste heat to serve local needs while bringing cooling back to the data centre.

Trane’s investment in expanding its existing operations in Finland and Denmark stem from the company’s strategy to stay close to customers and provide direct commercial and service support, responding to regional market needs. Furthermore, its strengthened operations will support further data centre development in the Nordics, thanks to Trane’s complete portfolio of data centre cooling solutions, ranging from chillers to air handlers and recently introduced liquid cooling portfolio. Moreover, its robust high temperature heat pump portfolio will further enable data centres, and all industries, to reduce energy waste by recovering and re-purposing rejected heat for community usage.

Lauri Salmia has been appointed Country Leader for Denmark and Finland, bringing with him over 15 years of experience in technology innovation, product management and data center market development. Lauri is already focused on leading the continued expansion and development of Trane’s operations across both countries, ensuring the right structure, capabilities and local support are in place to serve customers effectively.
