Challenge
A global pharmaceutical organization supporting France’s national Covid vaccination programme needed to increase its cold storage capacity to ensure sufficient inventory. The company manufactures semi-finished products used in a range of different vaccines. Precise temperature control is a challenging and critical aspect of production so a solution was required with the capacity to store elements for a very large supply of vaccines at -40°C, amounting to some 400 cubic square metres of refrigerated storage.
Solution
Trane supplied six 40’ ultra-low temperature cold stores at -40°C. The French rental team worked closely with the customer to design the solution and was able to provide rapid delivery and installation. The new cold stores would ensure there was always a sufficient supply. Trane also undertook all aspects of the electrical distribution required.
Results
The customer was impressed by Trane’s quick response along with the team’s ability to provide a full end-to-end turnkey solution.
