When a leading homeware retailer in Bucharest conducted a comprehensive Spring inspection of its large store, a major fault was discovered in the chiller. With the scheduled reopening just two weeks away, there was no time for repairs. The situation called for an urgent response and a reliable solution.
Spanning over two storeys with more than 26,000 square metres of retail and warehousing space, the store required effective and efficient cooling throughout. The customer's priority was to find a replacement unit that was not only reliable and energy-efficient but also quiet and easy to operate.
Solution
With a contingency plan already in place, the customer's Building Services team promptly reached out to Trane Rental for assistance, resulting in a highly responsive and efficient solution. The local Trane Rental team swiftly implemented a fast-track rental project, successfully installing a Sintesis RTAF 245 chiller.
The powerful chiller provided the necessary 900 kW cooling capacity required for the store. The full turnkey solution included logistics, installation, adaptation of the existing hydraulic installation and the supply of hydraulic module and fast plug hydraulic connections. To ensure the chiller's optimal placement, it was installed on the store's roof using a crane.

The unit was successfully operational in time for the reopening, resulting in a comfortable and safe experience for both customers and employees.
