In Dubai, a global building materials company and leading supplier of concrete and readymix required a reliable and consistent supply of ice to control the temperature of concrete during batching and transport.
With insufficient storage and power at the site, they faced a significant challenge in storing ice effectively.
Solution
The local Trane rental team provided a tailored solution by offering to swiftly deliver and hook up one 40-foot cold store, specifically for ice storage during the summer season.
The C-Store is a highly flexible solution for any temperature set-point: temperatures between +45°C and -40°C in ambient conditions up to +50°C.
To address the lack of reliable power supply, a clip-on genset SG-3500 was supplied, ensuring the reefer could operat seamlessly off-grid.
Results
Trane's cold storage with clip-on genset solution enabled our customer to maintain optimal temperatures for concrete production and played a vital role in supporting their summer operations.
The proven success of this project has inspired the customer to consider the same solution at their other sites across the region. They called on Trane for another project requiring a 20-foot cold store solution.
