An air-cooled chiller with wide operating limits
The iASN air-cooled chillers are designed to operate efficiently in both cold and hot climates. They function within a wide outdoor air temperature range, from -10°C to +45°C. With an optional dedicated feature, the lower limit can be extended to -20°C, making them ideal for applications requiring year-round cooling.
Regarding outlet water temperature, iASN units can deliver water temperatures ranging from 0°C to 20°C. For more demanding applications, the MWT version can provide negative water temperatures, from 0°C down to -10°C. This makes the iASN chillers suitable for various process cooling applications, including those in the food and beverage industry.
Integrated hydronic modules
iASN units can be configured with an integrated hydronic module, housed within the same unit frame. The hydronic module includes:
• Single or double twin in-line pump: Available in both standard (2 barg - P2) and increased pressure head (3 barg - P3) configurations. The pumps support stand-by operation and automatic commutation.
• Storage tank: Installed on the evaporator outlet line, with a capacity of up to 1000 liters.
• Water pressure gauge: Located on the pump pressure line, it displays the pressure in the hydraulic circuit when the chiller is off and the pump delivery pressure when the chiller is on.
Partial Heat Recovery: Enhance sustainability by reusing heat
The Partial Heat Recovery option allows for the recovery of approximately 20% of rejection heat to produce hot water, using an additional plate heat exchanger. This recovery exchanger is externally clad with thermal insulation to prevent heat dispersion. It also features a manual air bleed valve at the top and a drain valve at the bottom. The water-side connections are easily accessible from the exterior.
Comprehensively engineered with a focus on safety
The iASN units are designed with safety as a top priority. Refrigeration and hydraulic components are housed in two separate compartments. The refrigeration compartment is equipped with a leak detector that cuts the power supply to the main loads and activates the ATEX extraction fans at maximum speed.
For additional safety, the electrical cabinet is detached from the main unit. Furthermore, safety relief valves are provided on both the low-pressure and high-pressure sides.
The Aries N iASN range includes four models, offering cooling capacities from 170 kW to 320 kW. Each unit features all the essential hydraulic and mechanical components integrated within the unit, ensuring a compact and efficient design.
