Trane Introduces Industry-First Digitally Enabled Service Agreements

Trane’s cloud-based systems stream performance data for remote diagnostics, enabling early fault detection, targeted maintenance, and more efficient heating and cooling operations. This connectivity allows for the integration of HVAC system data, providing deeper, data-rich insights into system performance.

Brussels, Belgium, September 25, 2025 - Trane®, a leading global provider of indoor comfort solutions and services and a brand of Trane Technologies, has introduced Connected Mechanical Service Agreements (CMSA) across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. Trane’s CMSA combine the expertise of skilled technicians with continuous performance monitoring, remote diagnostics and predictive analytics. By detecting subtle changes in system behaviour early, CMSA enables targeted maintenance before issues escalate, helping to resolve faults faster, improve efficiency and extend the operational life of equipment.

This marks a shift from traditional site-based troubleshooting and reactive repairs, towards continuous remote monitoring, routine digital inspections and proactive response from service technicians, supporting faster resolution and informed data-based planning. Trane CMSA is available in tiered service levels, from real-time data dashboards to advanced remote diagnostics. This enables all customers to benefit from Trane’s IoT and analytic capabilities, tailored to their budget and operational needs.

“As advances in AI and digital technology make buildings more connected than ever, the way heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems are maintained needs to evolve. Rather than simply adding sensors to equipment, we can now use continuous data monitoring, predictive analysis and remote diagnostics to empower technicians with insights that keep the systems running at peak performance,” said Louis Rompre, Services Business Leader for Trane EMEA.

“The technicians are now equipped with digital tools to identify issues sooner, troubleshoot faster and keep customers better informed every step of the way. Through continuous monitoring and digital inspections we can detect elusive trends before they become problems, turning insights into opportunities,” said Louis Rompre.

Embedded sensors, setpoints, and operational data are communicated to the cloud, providing continuous information on system performance. Cloud-based analytics convert this raw data into actionable insights, offering facility managers and servicing partners real-time performance data, historical trends, mechanical problem alerts, maintenance recommendations, and energy consumption metrics.

Technicians are better equipped with data and actionable insights, streamlining fieldwork and minimising repeat visits. This connected service model also offers improved visibility into equipment performance, enabling operators to optimise systems while addressing environmental and regulatory goals. As buildings increasingly prioritise sustainability and operational efficiency, Trane CMSA provides a structured framework for maintaining temperature control systems with greater precision and reliability, supported by Trane’s network of experienced and highly trained service technicians.

“Connected mechanical services can transform how facility managers maintain, service, and manage their HVAC assets. Embracing connected service agreements generates significant savings in time and money, improves business outcomes, and enhances peace of mind. As we look to the future, these innovative solutions will be essential in maintaining the aging infrastructure of commercial buildings,” said Louis Rompre.
