Challenge
The Lotus Office Campus is a striking lotus‑shaped building complex covering 58,000 m², including over 34,000 m² of office space.
The campus consists of four buildings, each with its own chiller plant for comfort cooling and server‑room cooling. With the existing systems nearing the end of their technical lifespan, the customer began preparing for a planned replacement.
To ensure comfort continuity and uninterrupted operations, the replacement needed to be completed quickly and reliably. The new solution also had to support long‑term sustainability goals and maintain stable temperatures for optimal occupant comfort.
Solution
Trane delivered new chillers within a matter of weeks. The Trane Sintesis Advantage CGAF 190 HEXLN (High Efficiency, Extra Low Noise) air‑cooled chillers with scroll compressors were selected for their high efficiency, low‑GWP refrigerant, and exceptionally quiet operation.
Because the main power supply was still configured for the previous chillers, it needed to be upgraded to match the new system requirements.
Installing the new chillers onto the three rooftops was a major logistical operation, carried out from adjacent land. Once installed, Trane supervised the full commissioning process.
Results
The customer is highly satisfied with the smooth execution and service provided by Trane. The Lotus Office Campus is progressing toward a healthy, net‑zero working environment with a significantly lower environmental impact.
The new Trane CGAF chillers—featuring high efficiency, extra‑low noise levels, and environmentally friendly refrigerant—support that commitment. The campus is continuing its sustainability efforts by optimising the air‑handling units and upgrading control technology to the latest smart systems.
