A 5-star hotel in Manchester, UK was looking for a new cooling system. The customer required a high efficiency system with future-proof refrigerant, low sound levels and backup cooling.
Solution
Trane provided two Sintesis air-cooled screw chillers RTAF 145 HSS XLN with innovative solutions:
• R1234ze refrigerant, an HFO with zero ODP and a below 1 GWP
• Adaptive Frequency Drive providing improved efficiency at part load conditions
• Extra Low Noise option featuring EC fans with top diffusers, compressor enclosure, and refrigerant line insulation
