Refrigerant Leak Testing
- Leak detection routines
- Identify leak location
- Detect any refrigerant type (CFC, HCFC, HFC)
- Early corrective actions can prevent leakage and avoid unplanned downtime
- Ensure refrigerant stays within the chiller
- Compliance with all applicable regulations
EU Compliance
All air conditioning or refrigeration equipment in the EU containing fluorinated refrigerants must conform with the 2024 F-Gas regulation and have regular leak tests carried out by certified personnel.
Implementing a permanent leakage detection system can reduce the frequency of required leak testing by 50%. However, this system must still be inspected at least once a year. For emissions exceeding 500 tonnes of equivalent CO2, a permanent leak detection system is mandatory and must be checked annually.
Customized service solutions
Our certified technicians are trained to find leaks, properly repair them and refill equipment with the appropriate refrigerant charge.
Leak testing benefits include:
• Environmental responsibility. Quick detection of the leak prevents more refrigerant loss
• Compliance with local laws and regulations
• Reduce risk of costly breakdowns
• Downtime minimization
The environmental benefits, operational improvements, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations make it worthwhile investing in regular leak testing.
A tailored leak testing procedure is an integral part of any Trane
maintenance contract but can also be ordered as a separate service solution.
