Cooling systems operating in high ambient temperature outside design parameters can no longer deliver their design capacity. They run an increased risk of breakdowns, higher energy costs and lower operational efficiency. Adiabatic cooling reduces the ambient air entering the coil maintaining the design chiller capacity.

A 10°C temperature drop generates an average of 13% reduction in power consumption, delivering immediate cost savings and environmental benefits.

Versatility, simple installation and economical operation for any coil

The Trane Adiabatic Cooling concept is based on the natural thermodynamic properties of water. Water is sprayed intermittently onto large non-metallic mesh panels installed in front of the heat reduction coils of the cooling system. The evaporating water creates the cooling effect, lowering the air temperature before it reaches the condenser coil.

Trane's adiabatic system mesh design does not damage coils and provides protection against dust. Trane adiabatic cooling can be mounted on any cooling unit. Sectional mesh panels and coil clip suit every model, from mini-split units to large water chillers.
